They married in 1973 and moved to the Williamsport area and resided in Mosquito Valley where many neighbors became good friends.
Sandy enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of the changing seasons. She loved fresh flowers blooming in the spring and summer and took great care to keep their home colorful and full of life.
Sandy kept life-long friendships with her friends from Hickory and deepened those bonds as they spent time at their beach house in Myrtle Beach over the past 15 years. She loved walking the coast with their dogs and collecting seashells.
A recurring image of Sandy, recounted from many friends of the family, is as a gracious host and a caring parent and friend. Always able to make time for others and a wonderful listener, she cherished occasions to celebrate life with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren.
