March 18, 1944 - June 22, 2024
Thomas Costner, age 80 of Hickory, NC, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at The Greens of Viewmont. He was born on March 18, 1944 to Samuel D. and Margaret Frye Costner. A service to celebrate Thomas's life will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 with a visitation 10 to 11 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church. The service will be officiated by Rev. Mark Seaman. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
Thomas is survived by one sister, Gaye C. Lail of Hickory. Preceding him in death, his parents, Samuel and Margaret; his sisters, Patsy Jean Pennell, Mary Anne Harrold, Carolyn Shook, Faye Bolick, and brother, Samuel D. Costner.
Thomas worked at Century Furniture company for 35 years and he loved playing golf. I know he is up there playing with his brothers-in-law in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church. 2160 35th Ave. Dr NE, Hickory, NC.
