Tony Parker MAIDEN Tony Adrian Parker, 68, of Maiden, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Frye Regional Medical Center, in Hickory. Born July 29, 1944, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Cecil Shuford Parker and the late Mossie Alice Williams Parker. He was the owner/operator of Temple Furniture and Parker Southern Furniture, in Maiden. Tony was a loving husband, father, grandfather, was hard working and loved helping people. His Lord was the most important part of his life along with his family and the treasured times in traveling with them to the mountains and the beach. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years, Gail Parker, of the home; son, Adrian and wife, Lori Parker, of Vale; two daughters, Angie and husband, Tarbee Wright, of Maiden and Kim and husband, Kelly McRee, of Maiden; four grandsons, Luke and Josh Parker and Austin Wright and Jake McRee; two granddaughters, Hanna McRee and Bailey Wright; like daughters, Zindy Wilfong, Donna Propst and Tracy Propst. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, Jan. 18, at 3:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, in Maiden, with Pastor Jonathan Foster, Pastor Casey Clark and Pastor Nathaniel Austin officiating.
