William Pulliam Obituary

William Scott Pulliam of Granite Falls passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at his residence.
Born July 1, 1966, in Mecklenburg County, he was the son of the late William Wade Pulliam and Maxine Grady Pulliam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick Collin Pulliam, and David Neal Pulliam.
William was a United States Army Veteran. He was employed for 30 years with MDI where he worked as a checker most of his career. He was an avid sports fan, and loyal to the Miami Dolphins, UNC Tarheels, and Atlanta Braves. William enjoyed spending time with family, grilling, playing corn hole, and hanging out in his man cave. He adored his family but most especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Paula Lane Pulliam of Granite Falls; daughter, Kaylee Pulliam (Tyler Henry) of Asheville, N.C.; sons, Scott Pulliam (Katherine), Michael Pulliam both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; step-sons, Dustin Minton (Jessie) of Italy, Landon Minton (Heather McNeil) of Granite Falls, Logan Minton of Maiden, N.C.; bonus daughter, Shana Dula of Granite Falls; eight grandchildren, Caroline, Teagan, Ryder, Maddie, Cole, Jaxton, Lily, and Naomi; brother, Kelly Wade (Lora) of Hickory; mother-in-law, Susan St. George (David) of Hickory.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, 2 p.m. at Bass-Smith Granite Chapel with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Military honors will follow after the service.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be at a later date at Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Ashville, N.C.
