Arlene Virginia Lane

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce Arlene Virginia Lane, 78, of Landers, California, passed away on February 20, 2025. She will be laid to rest together with her husband, John W. Lane Sr. (1952-2019), after living a life full of love, adventure and dedication to their family.
Arlene was known as a strong and independent woman who was the center of her family. Her love and wisdom shaped the lives of so many, from her children to her grandchildren to her great-grandchildren, always offering a helping hand, a place to call home and the constant reminder that honesty, hard work and family are everything.
Arlene found her true love in John, and together they lived 10 lifetimes full of adventure. They were opinionated and never afraid to speak their minds, but their hearts were always open, full of forgiveness and they never hesitated to lend a helping hand.
John brought joy to everyone around him, and his love for music was reflected in every part of his life. His zest for life and contagious spirit awakened a side of Arlene she didn't know existed. Through his love and passion, he brought her out of her shell and together they dreamed bigger than either of them had imagined before meeting each other. His music, his joy and his love for family were what truly captured her heart, and theirs became a love story for the ages.
The adventures, dreams and laughter they shared will be remembered by all who knew them. They stuck together, "doing it their way," no matter how unconventional it may have seemed to others. Their love, dedication and hard work, not just toward each other but toward their family and community, will forever be the greatest gift they left us.
Survived by eight children, 22 grandchildren 17 great-grandchildren, Arlene's loving older sister, and numerous family and friends. Rest in peace, John and Arlene. You are forever in our hearts, and your love will continue to guide us through our lives.
