Carol Camrin Obituary
Carol Camrin, born on April 6, 1945, in California, she passed away peacefully on Oct. 11, 2025, in Palm Springs, California. She was 80 years old.
Carol dedicated over four decades of her life to the art and profession of hairdressing. Her passion for cosmetology began at an early age and was recognized during her schooling when she earned a trophy for her talent. That early recognition foreshadowed a long and successful career. She went to own and operate Camrin's Fox-n-Hair in Yucca Valley, California - a beloved salon that served the community for many years. Carol retired in October of 2024, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, dedication, and personal connections with her clients.
Faith played a central role throughout Carol's life. She was deeply committed to her daily devotions and faithfully followed the teachings of Pastor Greg Laurie. Alongside her parents, Betty and Roy Camrin, and Dr. Charles Mayes, she helped start Grace Brethren Church - now known as Grace Community Church - in Yucca Valley. Her spiritual devotion remained a guiding force throughout her life.
Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Craig Lankenau and Tim Lankenau. Craig is married to Peggy Lankenau; their children are Camrin Lankenau and wife Cynthia, Shawn and wife Leah Zak, Sarah Zak, Trevor and wife Ashley, and Tashia. Great-grandchildren are Chloe and Jonathan Lankenau, Nathan and Jordan Redditt, Sergio Gomez and Eduardo Cruz from Camrin's family; great-grandkids Tyler, Maclin, Carter, Landon and Sky from Shawn's family; great-grandkids Keiara and Malai from Sarah's family; and great-grandchild Orion from Trevor's family. Son Tim Lankenau's daughter is Brittany Carter and her children are Jael, Jaxson and Jade Grace Carter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Betty Camrin and Richard (Roy) Camrin; her brother, Joe Camrin; and her uncle, Lee Spence.
Carol's life touched many through both her professional work and personal faith. Her memory will be cherished by those who knew her.
May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 24 at Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel.
