Carolyn Wise Obituary

Carolyn was a beautiful baby girl born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to John and Jenny (now deceased), parents.

Carolyn (Care) attended Montessori school in Rabat, Morocco, N.A., and elementary, middle, and high school in NorCal. She enjoyed horses, the Pacific Ocean, music (Elvis and Country), dancing two-step, gardening, writing, ballet, gymnastics, and cooking (she made the best shrimp gumbo, and made-from-scratch spaghetti sauce!).

Care had five children, Michelle, John, Rachelle, Rebecca, and Bryce. She was a military spouse for many years, and later became a stand-in mom with a positive impact on cadets at Hargrave Military Academy, where her former husband served as Commandant. Their home was frequently filled with young cadets seeking "family" time.

Tragically, their youngest son passed away in 2009, Carolyn looked forward to reuniting with Bryce.

Carolyn loved her family and friends. She will be missed by all~

Her husband Mike and the family extends their gratitude to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple, TX (ER, ICU, Neuro & Hospice Units), as well as Marble Falls ER & Helicopter Medivac.

Please hold your family and friends close and love them dearly.

Carol (as I knew her) was like a sister to me. We first met when I was overseas, far away from my own family. She truly knew how to receive others as "family." I was truly blessed having her in my life. Bryce was born on my birthday, and she passed on my granddaughter's birthday; so, there was definitely a connection between us. I still make her Clam Dip recipe and every meal I ever ate that she cooked was delicious. I learned so much from her and am so thankful that she and I spent countless hours together in England. My sympathies to the entire family.
