William Schultz Obituary

On September 18, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family, Bill was called home to the Lord in Marble Falls, TX, succumbing to heart failure. Bill's early years in Wabash, IN laid a strong foundation for the remarkable man he would become. He carried with him the values of hard work and determination throughout his life. Bill served his country with distinction as an Army Specialist 3rd class, a role that imbued in him a sense of duty and honor that he would carry into his civilian life.

Following his military service, Bill embarked on a career as a telephone installer with GTE, where his dedication and expertise were evident. His journey did not stop there, as he further honed his skills to become a contract cable splicer. Eventually, he found his true calling as a buyer and in mechanical repair and was fondly nicknamed "The Hammer" at Schultz Communications.

Bill's commitment to his Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. He found solace and strength in reading scripture and sharing his faith with others, touching many lives through his testimony and unwavering belief. Bill's love for the Lord was as deep as it was infectious, and he lived every day with the intention of reflecting God's love in all his actions.

A family man at heart, Bill was the loving husband of Martha Schultz for 68 years, and together they built a life filled with laughter, purpose, and devotion. His legacy continues through his children, Kathy Wattis, William & Lisa Schultz, Walt & Nancy Schultz, Joe Schultz, Karen Allee, John & Tara Schultz, and Pat & Mary Haas, along with the joyous laughter of many grand and great-grandchildren.

Bill's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. An avid bird watcher, he found peace in the simplicity of nature, often imparting the lesson that there is beauty and design in every feather and flight. His grandchildren will fondly remember the times spent playing and learning from their grandfather, who was always eager to share stories and wisdom. Bill was also a master of making lists, a practice that reflected his desire for order and purpose in all things.

As we celebrate Bill's life, we are reminded of the impact one individual can have when they live with intention and faith. He was a man who walked by faith, not by sight, and in doing so, he inspired all who knew him to look beyond the temporal and to embrace the eternal. Bill Schultz's life was a sermon of love, a hymn of service, and a prayer of gratitude. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to resonate in the hearts of those he touched. In the words of Scripture that Bill so cherished, "Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your master." (Matthew 25:21). Bill has now entered into that joy, and while we mourn our loss, we also rejoice in the knowledge that he is at peace with his Creator.
