Suzanne Magalis Obituary
Suzanne was born in Havre De Crace, Maryland, to the late William and Gladys Andrews Skipper. She earned a Bachelor of Art degree from UNCW. She was a teacher and real estate agent. Suzanne was an an-imal lover and volunteered with several no kill shelters including Friends for Life. She spent years regis-tered with NC as a wildlife rehabilitator saving thousands of orphaned and injured animals and taking calls from people needing advice.
Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, of 45 years, Mike; sister, Debby Skipper (Karl) Daniels Kitty Hawk; and nephew, Shawn Daniels also of Kitty Hawk. On Mike's side of the family, she is survived by Mary Beth (Michael) Arce of Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and Daniel (Debby) Magalis of East Hartford, Con-necticut.
The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 29, from 11 to 11:30 a.m., at Macon Funeral Home. A celebra-tion of life will be held in the Chapel following the visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Highlands/Cashiers Animal Shelter.
The family wishes to thank Annette Rogers for her loving care and love to Suzanne during 18 years of Alz-heimer's. Also, thanks to the fine people at Four Seasons Hospice for several years of wonderful care for Suzanne.

Earlier today
Joe and I remember Suzanne´s sweet smile, always inviting us to their lovely home and watching movies in their upstairs theater room. Her love for all animals was immense. I remember her bottle feeding sick squirrels and many other sick ones. Suzanne was so intelligent and it is so sad, that all her talents were lost, due to this terrible disease. Joe and I will always treasure our memories and Big Hugs to MikeLove, Joe and Shirley
