Amber Edwards Obituary

SMITHFIELD, Utah - Amber Edwards, 40, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 11, 1974, in Logan, Utah, to Nelda and Curtis Edwards. She grew up in Preston, Idaho, where she attended school. She graduated from Preston High School in 1992 and then attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah.
Amber married Jared Kofoed and had two beautiful children. Taryn born in 1995 and Hunter born in 1996. They were the joy of her life.
At the time of her passing she was employed at Wasatch Group as office manager.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Amber is survived by her daughter Taryn and son Hunter; mother, Nelda Edwards; father, Curtis (Janet) Edwards; sister, Nicole (Chris); nephews, Nathan and Jacob; niece, Jessica; grandparents, Valdemar and Noemi Castillo, as well as many aunts and uncles. She will be missed by many special and close cousins. Amber's greatest joy was spending time with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Nat and Dean Edwards, aunt Vilma Castillo, uncles DeVon Bollschwieler and Richard Fry, and three cousins Spenser Cole, and TJ and Michael Fluckiger, who have lovingly greeted her in heaven.
In the past six months Amber experienced ill health due to an unknown liver disease. At the time of her death she was waiting for a new liver. A liver was not available at the optimal time and her body fought as hard as it could.
As family, we would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Intermountain Medical Center for their loving care. We encourage everyone to consider organ donation to give the gift of life to those suffering various illnesses.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the Preston South Stake Center, 55 E. 1st South, Preston, Idaho, with Bishop Jim Summers conducting. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home, 1005 S. 8th East, Preston, and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Interment will be in the Preston Cemetery. I remember spending Christamas eve's with your family years ago. All us kids had so much fun. Amber was always happy and had an infectious laugh! I'm so sorry for your loss. So many of us are thinking of you and wishing you peace and comfort at this time.

Amber was a light! In middle school and high school she was so kind to me and she was the top of the food chain; she didn't have to be kind to me but she was. That is who she was. She was kind, generous and irrepressibly bubbly. You couldn't help but smile when Amber was near. My condolences to her family and close friends. The world lost a light but our loss is Heaven's gain. She was too young to leave us. I'm heartbroken. I am happy that she is free from her body that was so very sick but wish that things would have worked out differently so that she could be at her daughter's wedding and all of the special events that are to come in her children's lives. She was one of a kind. Rest peacefully, my friend, until we meet again.
