Brent Balls Obituary

Brent Balls sadly passed in his home November 17th.

He was born in Hyde Park UT, to Frances and Ralph Balls. He was the youngest of 5 children; Robert, Vicky, Brian and Kay-Dawn.

Even as a child he made friends easily, most of which lasted a lifetime and became like family.

While his character will live of in his children Casey, Jessica and Ashley as well as his grandchildren. His memory will live on through most of Cache Valley and the many lives he touched.

He had a love for hunting, fishing, landscaping, story telling, making people laugh, and music. He could play the drums like a rockstar and run a backhoe like a surgeon. However the love of his life was his wood burning Majestic stove!

A celebration of life will be held December 6th 2025 from 1pm - 4pm at 42W 200S Hyde Park, UT 84318. Please join us for food and memories.

I met Brent after moving to Hyde Park Utah in 1980. Brent was someone special. Everytime I saw him we would talk and talk and he always left me smiling. He was as loyal as they come. I can't quit picturing his Friendly smile anytime, anywhere. I was always happy when he would come into Lake's Garage, my Dad's business that I managed and we would stop our work to visit with him because he was always fun to talk to. I was always so happy to see him whether at Lee's or the DI, I never missed an opportunity to visit with him because he was such a kind soul, never had a bad word to say about anyone, just as good as they come. I will truly miss this special man and I will smile every time I think of him. I'm so sorry to his family for their loss and I hope they will only know what a special soul he was. Love you Brent

I met Brent when I moved to Hyde Park in ninth grade and became fast friends. He was always fast with a smile and a laugh, and just fun to be around. I have a lot of fond memories, skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, camping, and hunting. we rented a house together in the mid 80s. him and his dog bear. we go fishing camping skiing whenever we could. about a foot shorter than me and he could still out hike us all. we found places in Logan Cave that, I swear no human eyes had ever seen. Time would fly by when we would run into each other in town and stop whatever he was doing and catch up and reminisce, and then laugh! He burned the candle at both ends, he was a good friend, and will be sorely missed

I grew up with Brent, we went to first grade together and have been like brothers since, ever time i come back home from California i would see Brent and Scott Brown. The three of us had a special bond, all three of us lost our dads when we were young. Brent I love you and miss you i will always cherish the snowmobiling trips, the hunting trips the Bear lake trips, and just camping because we could up in Franklin basin. The trip to Beaver mountain Staying in our RV with 8 people and NUG (Brent's dog ) we had a ball. Brent you are a brother to me and my heart is broken that you are gone,
