Elaine Jarrett was one of my closest friends. She was in my ward since I was in nursery, I want to say that she may have been my nursery leader. She was a constant throughout my whole childhood, and she was such a light and source of love. Whenever I needed a boost, I knew I could go to her. She always supported me in my dreams. She was a huge support while I was on my mission, and she even came to my sealing. I loved her like a mother/grandmother, and she will continue to have a home in my heart. I´m so grateful to know her and love her. Thank you, Sister Jarrett.

I knew Elaine as a member of my stake. The few encounters I had with her left me very impressed with her testimony of the gospel, her dedicated service to everything she did, and her vast knowledge. We just had our stake conference days before she passed away. It was held virtually and they included a recorded presentation of several elderly women from our stake reciting The Living Christ. Elaine was among them and did a beautiful job as she recited her part by memory. She is a great lady and will be missed. My sympathies to her family.

I had the privilege of having Sister Jarrett as a companion while serving in the Scotland Edinburgh Mission. Although she was a senior sister, she had more energy than I did. As a senior sister, some of her rules of the mission were more flexible. I was thrilled because if she wanted to come in early or take a nap during the day, we could. The problem was, she never wanted to do either! I repeatedly and hopefully asked her several times a week, well maybe several times a day, if she was tired and wanted to take a nap. Her reply was simply, "I am doing fantastic." I would give her a look like she was crazy and off we would go. She was patient with me. I was young and stupid but she didn't mind. I will be forever thankful for the impact this woman had on my life. I use to call her my Energizer Bunny.
I am sorry for our loss but I know she is happy and now moving on to her next work. That is what she did. She chose to always move forward and serve those around her. Sister Jarrett, thank you for sharing your life with me. I love you.
