Geraldine 'Jeri' Hovey Jessop

Geraldine "Jeri" Hovey Jessop, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 21, after a short illness.
She was born March 28, 1936 in Logan, Utah. She was the third child born to Grant Hovey & Bernice Davis Hovey. She was educated in the Logan School Districts and graduated from Logan High.
She married Calvin Jay Jessop on April 23, 1955. He passed away in 2003. They had four daughters, Julie, Lorrie, Elizabeth, & Carrie Jo.
She worked as a "lunch lady" for 25 years, first at Lincoln Elementary, then at Mountain Crest High School.
She was a wonderful homemaker and a great cook. She liked a clean house & had her four daughters help her every Saturday with cleaning.
She always rallied around us when there was a crisis that we had to go through. She had a keen sense of humor, even up until her passing.
She is survived by her daughters, Julie (Ken) Olsen, Logan; Lorrie (Brent) Burr, Nibley; Liz (David) Larsen, Mink Creek, ID; Carrie Jo Patterson, Logan; 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 sister, Marge Chatterton, Logan; and 1 brother, Ronald Hovey, Locust Grove, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Spencer Hovey; 1 granddaughter, & 1 great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at 12:00 noon in the Millville City Cemetery.
