Howard Rasmussen Obituary

WESTON - Howard Jesper Rasmussen, 78, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the Ogden Regional Hospital due to heart complications. He was born April 29, 1928, in Weston, Idaho, the son of Thomas Jesper and Aramitha Briggs Rasmussen. He graduated from Weston High School and attended Utah State College. He married Joan Benson on June 9, 1952, in the Logan LDS Temple. He loved trains and worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 33 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and blacksmithing. He was an excellent handyman and "jack-of-all-trades." He took care of the Weston LDS church for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Joan B. of Weston; three sons and two daughters, Rick J. (Chris) Rasmussen of Sandy, Utah, Roland D. (Jana) Rasmussen of West Jordan, Utah, Deborah A. (Greg) Garner of Weston, Russell L. (Betty) Rasmussen of West Jordan, Utah, Deserae (Steve) Holm of Sandy, Utah; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother, Elda (Wayne) Petersen, LaRue Stone and Loren (Ruth Ann) Rasmussen all of Soda Springs, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Lucille Rasmussen.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, April 19, 2007, in the Weston Second Ward chapel with Bishop Darrin Thornley conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in the Weston Cemetery.

My Dad
Is like a picture,small in frame but large in life. He left a big part of him in each of his children.And they will carry that part with them all of there life.
It might be a big whole to fill but when we all get together we will fill the love and fond memories that he gave to us.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.

They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
