Maxwell Rodgers was killed at his apartment in Salt Lake City early in the morning on Saturday the 16th of November. He had just turned 21 years old that Friday.

Max was born in Logan, Utah on November 15, 2003. He grew up in North Logan before moving to El Dorado Hills, California in 2012. He and his parents moved back to North Logan in 2018, where he attended Green Canyon High School, graduating in 2022. Max was a Junior at the University of Utah, where he was studying Game Development.

Max had a wide range of interests and hobbies, from music making to video games, skateboarding to boxing, to raising technicolor shrimp at his home. He was creative and passionate. He loved animals. He had a cat and a dog, and would also go to the humane society to pet cats. He was a lead for the Game Craft club at his school. Max was caring and compassionate for his friends and family.

Max's loved ones shared attributes of his qualities. Echoes of his brilliant mind and creativity for every interest he had were shared; When Max wanted to do something, he would find a way, he was sure of himself and always knew what he wanted. His drive was always backed by his love for learning and passion for life. He also indulged in his friends' interests and was reliable when it came to helping friends' visions come to life. He was a dependable friend, often going out of his way to help people in times of need. Max was patient, selfless, and gentle, if disagreements or roadblocks arose in projects or relationships, he knew how to make everyone's voices be heard. He was understanding and caring of people's feelings and needs. He is described as kind, calm, and affectionate, friends always felt that they were welcomed by Max. His humor, smile, and laugh were infectious, those around him always laughed along. His love for family, friends, life, and pets is whole, and he has left a beautiful and lasting impact on those who knew him.
