Robert Imler was my choir teacher in high school in our tiny community of Dubois in Clark County, Idaho. He was a good man and a good teacher. One day, my best friend and I had a contest with Mr. Imler as the judge, to see who had the best voice. It was a silly thing to do and could have driven a wedge in between some less solid friendships, but Robert was very wise, knowing our situation, and he simply described what each of our voices was like rather than comparing which was better. We both went away satisfied and best of friends. I have often reflected on that moment of wisdom.
I have often thought of him through the years and wondered how he is doing. I had no idea he was right here in Logan. Wish I had known.
I am sorry for your loss.
