Wilma Roskelley Obituary

Wilma Coy Larson Roskelley 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023, in

Smithfield, Utah with her family by her side.

She was born March 19, 1930 in Millville, the 8th child of George and Delilah Larson. She attended the Cache County Schools where she participated in choir before graduating from South Cache in Hyrum. She met, fell in love with, and married Theron Glen Roskelley on February 23, 1949 in the Logan LDS Temple. Coy and Glen raised 5 children; son Danny Roskelley (Kris), son Randal Kim Roskelley, son Larry Roskelley, daughter Deby Miller (Mark), and son Michael Roskelley (Bonnie). She had 18 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.

Coy loved her family, especially Glen! They did everything together; fishing, camping, working together in their yard, and traveling together and with friends. Coy worked in the Sky View Cafeteria for 25 years and always enjoyed her work and the friendships she made there. Coy was known for her beautiful flower garden, especially her roses. She had many talents such as crocheting, cooking, baking, canning, floral arranging, and she kept a meticulously clean home. She could often be found with a book or cheering on the Utah Jazz. Coy was a member of the

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings. She looked forward to her daily walks and Temple Work. She lost the love of her life too soon due to an accident in 2004. Glen took such good care of Coy and she spent the last 18 years missing him. What a joyous reunion they must have had!

Coy is survived by her five children and a sister Nancy Price (Sacramento, CA). She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Roskelley, her parents, George and Delilah Larson, sister Venice Pitcher, brother Joe Larson, brother Lloyd Larson, brother Glenn Larson, sister Georgia Scofield, sister Lois Merrill, sister Montis Elwood, and grandson Skyler Miller.

Coy was very much a lady and truly made the world a better place. She was a wonderful, loving mother, kind and caring wife, and a fun, sweet grandma. Coy was always festive and dressed for the occasion with pretty, painted fingernails and matching earrings. She was a friend to all and never made an enemy or said a bad word about anyone. She was kind, gracious and pure in heart. An unforgettable, beautiful lady that we will dearly miss. The family would like to express our appreciation to Birch Creek Memory Center for the loving care they gave Coy.

Graveside services will be held Saturday Feb. 6th at 11:30 at the Smithfield City Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior from 9-11a.m. at Nelson Funeral Home in Smithfield 85 Main St. Smithfield, UT. Services under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary.

I'm so sorry to hear about her passing. Aunt Coy was the last survivor of that generation in our family.
