Richard Allen Jager

Richard Allen Jager, age 58, of Zeeland, was called to his heavenly home on May 7, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Grace Jager; and his parents-in-law, Preston and Nancy Van Dyke. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Linda Van Dyke-Jager; children, Lisa Nichols, Brenda and Curt Bruins, Mindy Jager; grandchildren, Tierney and Junior Preston Bruins, Alexus Nichols; stepmother, Harriet Jager; brothers and sisters, Jim and Sandy Jager, Karen and Dan Pleva, Dan and Terri Jager, David and Bonnie Jager; stepmother-in-law, Donna Van Dyke Brower; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Randy and Judi Van Dyke, Diane and Doug Venema, Lori and Brian Driesenga; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and puttering around the barn. He also enjoyed attending the sporting events of his nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale with Pastor Jim Maness and Pastor Bill Merchut officiating. Interment Blendon Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (corner of Avery and Scott) 6651 Scott St., Allendale, as well as on Monday an hour prior to the service at the church.
