Gary was part of our crew that spent a lion's share of Summer/Fall 1966 at Ft. Jackson, S. C. and Ft. McClellan, Al. in Basic, Leadership School and A. I. T as fellow Guardsmen. We would also attend and graduate from the MMA, Class 11 at Battle Creek, Mi. Would later run into Gary at Ft Custer or Graying while playing Army. Just recently came across his obit. Although its been nearly 50 years since we last visited, I still feel the sadness of his passing. Remember him as one of the good guys.

Gary and I were classmates from 1st grade through graduation at St. Paul School in Owosso. He was a good friend through those years. He was an outstanding athlete and teammate in all sports. He was a strong leader, student, and a hard worker; all traits he learned from both of his parents. Although we lost touch for many years, I will remember him very fondly especially watching HS football and remembering those soft, floating, TD passes he threw to me. Great memories! Good bye old friend!

There are no words, he was not just a boss to me, your father and mother were like my own, they made me family and I have nothing but fond memories of spending time with them here, up north and in Florida. He was so proud of both of you. I will miss seeing him roaming around the office, miss giving him hugs. He was a great man and I loved him dearly.
