Albert Loupe Jr. Obituary

Albert J. Loupe Jr. 90, a lifelong resident of Raceland, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017.

Visitation will be held at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church on Monday, Mar. 6, 2017; from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at the church. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Judy Bauer (Keith); grandchildren, Crystal Bonura (Timothy) and Jarret Bauer (Alyson); and great-grandchildren, Madilyn and Catherine Bonura and Annabelle Bauer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorita D. Loupe; parents, Albert J. Loupe Sr. and Yola B. Loupe; his son, Randy Loupe; and brothers, Carol and Lewis Loupe.

Albert was a parishioner at St. Hillary's Church. He was a life member of the Knights of Columbus Counsel 8840, Rev. Kermit Trahan Assembly #1878, 4th Degree K.C., American Legion #349, Forty and Eight Voiture 1038 of Louisiana, the Freddie John Falgout VFW 3665, AARP Chapter 4585 and Woodman of the World Lodge 664. Albert is also a life member of the Lockport Fire Department and was King of Lockport Carnival in 1992.

Albert proudly served the U.S. Army and is a WWII Veteran. He retired as Justice of the Peace in Lafourche Parish, where he served as Notary Public for 25 years.

The family would like to thank Hospice of South Louisiana and The Broadway Nursing Home for their loving care.
