Alvin Dominique Obituary
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday, Feb. 13, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Rebecca Cressoine Dominique; sons, Alvin "A.J." Dominique III and wife, Beth, Jonas Paul Dominique and Jake Russell Dominique; mother, Joyceline Dominique Boudreaux; sisters, Angela Cotton and husband, Andy, Susan Caillouet and husband, Ralph, and Tanya Bacon and husband, James; brothers, Herman Dominique and wife, Angele and Maj. Dean Dominique, U.S. Army (Ret.) and wife, Elizabeth; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin John Dominique Sr.; sister, Jezel Lucille Knight; paternal grandparents, Edgar and Albertine Dominique; and maternal grandparents, Herman and Rosa Mae Robichaux; father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Wilma Cressoine; and brother-in-law, Eldon R. Harrall.
Alvin was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a ship designer and builder for L&A Iron Works. He was a public servant and served as a board member of the Council of Aging in Raceland; president of Lafourche Recreation District No. 8 in Gheens; president of Vacherie-Gheens Community Center; president of Lafourche Fire District 9 in Gheens; member of the Gheens Jaycees; pastoral president of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Gheens; member of the Professional Photographers of America and PPLA; president of South Louisiana Professional Photographers Guild; volunteer of Vacherie-Gheens Fire Department; and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus

God Bless You All! Alvin, you will Truly Be Missed! Becky, I Love You So Much and He's All Around You, In Your Children and Family! We are so Very Sorry.
