Andrew Chaisson Obituary

Andrew Joseph Chaisson Jr., 63, a native and resident of Montegut, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Wednesday at New Beginning Community Outreach Center at 194 LA 665 in Montegut. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in Rogers Cemetery in Houma.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Dardar Chaisson; sons, Dudley and Steve Chaisson; daughters, Molly and Samantha Chaisson; grandchildren, Chasidy, Sasha, and Sierra Chaisson, Ashanti Payne and Isaiah Dardar; great-grandchildren, Braxton Pellegrin; brothers, Hilton, Lawrence and Dale Chaisson; and sisters, Madeline C. Pellegrin, Mary C. Danos, Rosie C. Dardar, and Brenda C. Dardar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Chaisson Sr. and Annie N. Chaisson; brother, Patterson Chaisson; sister, Anna Mae Chaisson Naquin; and grandparents, Vital and Felicia Naquin, and Alfred and Marie Chaisson.
Andrew was a hard working man who loved the Lord and his family very much. He was a member of New Beginning Community Outreach Center. He was a fisherman but many also knew him from AC Waterslides. He took great pride in his work and made sure all his customers were happy. He was a great man and will be greatly missed.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of arrangements.
