Edward Duet Obituary
Edward Alfred Duet Jr, 61, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, died at 10:57 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with interment in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Amy "Darlene" Voisin Duet; one daughter, Lena Marie Duet Burgess and husband, James Gregory Burgess; one son, Jason Edward Duet and wife, to be Danielle Olivier; three grandchildren, Michael Trahan, Hannah Burgess and Emily Burgess; and his siblings, Faye Fonseca, Percy Duet, Bob Duet, Francis Duet, Bridget Voisin, Earl Duet, Clifford Duet, Russell Duet, Amelia Chauvin, Ethel Kramer and Donald Duet.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Alfred Duet Sr. and Gustavia Bergeron Duet; one sister, Earline Duet; and his brother-in-law, Allen "Nu-Nu" Fonseca.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
