John Waguespack Obituary
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until funeral time Friday at St. Philip Catholic Church in Vacherie. A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Friday at the church with the Rev. Vincent Dufresne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty Vale Waguespack; sons, Kevin G. Waguespack (Tamara Carlson Waguespack) and Dr. Steven G. Waguespack (Shelley Weaver Waguespack); brother, Dr. Roland Waguespack Jr.; sisters, Joyce Faucheux, Emily Rogers and Sylvia Hymel; grandchildren, K. Michael, John D., Evan K., Colin A., Nathaniel S., and Madeleine M. Waguespack.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland Waguespack Sr. and Mae Melancon Waguespack; son, John David Waguespack; and brothers, Anthony, Leon, and Peter Waguespack.
Affectionately known as "Boze" to his friends and "Pop" to his family, Burke was an avid gardener, sportsman, and crossword enthusiast who enjoyed cooking and making others laugh. He taught others the meaning of hard work, commitment and perseverance. Burke was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.

It is already five years since the Lord has called Mr. Bozo to heaven. Mr. Bozo was such a kind, humble, and well-loved man. His love of family, friends, and hunting will always be remembered. Now Mr. Bozo can enjoy his wife and son, John, in heaven. We miss you all. Tim, Eva, Clifford, and Colby Knight.

Burke was an amazing and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He lead his wonderful family in the most positive light and was the kind of person we should all strive to be. I couldn't have asked for a better Pop for my niece & nephew. He made the world a better place and will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered forever. Prayers and love to you all.

Dear Mrs. Betty, Kevin, Steven, and Family,
My deepest sympathy goes to you. I just saw him last weekend, by the hunting dogs. Colby, my son, spend last weekend on a rabbit hunting adventure with him. Colby came home that day and said, "Mom, Mr. Bozo is a cool man. He reminds me of my Paw-Paw." Colby truly enjoyed his company.
You had such a kind, thoughtful, and comical father and husband. We will truly miss seeing that cheerful face in the "big yard." Mr. Bozoe gave so much to others..his kind words, deeds, talents.
John, as always, is watching over you and celebrating the homecoming of his dad.
