I’m so very sorry for the loss of your mom. She was such a loving soul with a sweet spirit. She also coud be a character with a great sense of humor. I’ll never forget after a Hurricane when, i think it was Jake who said “Mama there’s an alligator in the front yard” and June replied “ well Jake make Alligator Sauce Picante” .

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt June's passing. Uncle Jake and my Dad were best of friends. I spent many a days at their house or ours growing up, spaghetti nights or bar-b-que. To all of you I send my love. She was the most gentle kind woman. I always admired her raising 9 children and putting up with Uncle Jake's antics and humor. I am happy for them that they are finally together again. Love to you all.

June was my daughter in law’s Mother and I had the pleasure of knowing a wonderful person, grandmother, and most of all a wonderful and devoted Mom to her family! I did not see her often enough but when I did it was like we saw each other every day! I happen to have had the pleasure to go to the beach with her daughter Monica and her family and we were on the balcony watching sail boats with Meredith and June said look at those 2 boats and Meredith was very young and she said “MawMaw” with her fingers up and said “Maw Maw this is two and this is three so there are three boats not two! We all laughed about that the whole trip because Meredith corrected her MawMaw on the number of sail boats on the water!” June was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever had the pleasure of being around and knowing!!! She will be missed by everyone that she came into contact with! I know I will miss her and I am so proud to have known her! I love you June LaConte and thank you for all your wonderful daughters!!!
