Kathleen Agnes Broussard Daigle

Kathleen "Kathy" Agnes Broussard Daigle, age 75, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2018. She called Thibodaux home and was a resident of Iowa, La. She was born on Oct. 29, 1942, in Houma. She worked as a school teacher for over 30 years, mostly in Thibodaux.

Kathleen lived for her family and her grandchildren were the love of her life.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald J. Daigle and two children; daughter, Lynda Danos and her husband, Willie; and son, Chris Daigle and his wife, Sunny. Survivors also include her seven grandchildren, Seth Danos (wife, Heather), Shane Danos, Ryan Danos, Blakelyn Daigle, Jaci Daigle, Easton Waguespack and Anna Waguespack. Her surviving siblings include Elmo Broussard Jr. (Kathleen), George Wayne Broussard (Dionysia), Glenn Broussard (Donna), Marilyn Guesser (John), Virgie Broussard, and Blair Broussard (Shar).

She was preceded in death by her parents, St. Elmo E. Broussard and Virgie Rome Broussard.

The family would like to express their thanks for the loving care she received over the years to the Internal Medicine Clinic, Dr. Ron Lewis, Melinda Strikland NP and Nurse Candace.

Special thanks also to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital seven and eight tower and nine tower ICU nurses and staff and Doctors Shamat, Gilmore, Ben Thompson, and Ellendale Grabbert, NP.

Visitation will be held Saturday, April 7, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux, from 8-10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at the Co-Cathedral. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
