Larry English Obituary
Visitation will be observed from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday, July 23 at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette.
Interment will follow in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.
Fr. Gilbert Dutel, Pastor of St. Edmond Roman Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate.
Larry was born June 18, 1956, in Converse, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Acadiana. Larry was a certified machinist and the owner of English Machine Works Inc. He was a coin collector and an avid fisherman. Larry enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Hilda "Dee" English of Lafayette; his parents, Robert and Barbara English of Houma; his daughter, Tiffany English and her husband, McKenna Bergeron of Lafayette; his brother, Robby English and his wife, Ginger of Many, Louisiana; his sister, Deborah Mouton and her husband, Gary of Olathe, Kansas; his granddaughter (his little buddy), Hazel Bergeron; his step-granddaughter, Ariel Bergeron; and numerous dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Stefan English, Jonathan English, Dax Bernard, Gerald Condon, Tony Tardo and Gary Mouton.
Honorary Bearers are Doyle Pylant, Mike Fournet, Frank Beaulieu and Robert D. English.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kevin Hargrave and the physicians and staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center for the compassionate care given to Larry and his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Larry's name to the Epilepsy Foundation of Louisiana, 4137 South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, Suite 210, Baton Rouge, LA, 70816, 225-298-5499, www.epilepsylouisiana.org.
Fountain Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1010 Pandora Street, 337-981-7098 is in charge of arrangements.
