Lee Leblanc Obituary
Lee M. Leblanc, 88, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Thibodaux, passed away peacefully at 1:22 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at the church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Flo St. Amant Leblanc; children, Vickie L. Naquin and husband, Dickie, Ted Leblanc and wife, Lana, and Gaynell Leblanc and companion, Troy Haslett; grandchildren, Richie Naquin, Dru Naquin Pierce and husband, Rod, Tracey Leblanc LeBoeuf and husband, Billy, Toby Leblanc and wife, Stacy, Lee Dronet, and Lacey Dronet Abrams and husband, Matt; stepgrandchild, Trevor Haslett; great grandchildren, Sloan and Elijah Pierce, Brooke, Logan, and Dawson LeBoeuf, Tristen and Jaxon Abrams, and Tucker Leblanc; step-great-grandchild, Kaylen Chaisson; step-great-grandchild, Kaylen Chaisson; step-great-great-grandchild, Kohen Chaisson; three sisters, Viva Adams, Beulah Pontiff and Earline Warnken; and brother-in-law, Butch St. Amant.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Leblanc and Linda Henry Leblanc; two brothers, Jay and Jerry Leblanc; and one granddaughter, Leanne Dronet.
He was a World War II veteran, a lifetime member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion, Military order of the Purple Heart and Knights of Columbus Council 1114. He fought in four major campaigns in the South Pacific. He received a bronze star and two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the first Calvary division.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
