Luana Blasio Obituary
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until funeral time Thursday, Feb. 12, at Falgout Funeral Home in Houma. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Anthony Joseph Blasio, of Schriever; children, Wanda Ann Bement and husband, Robert, of Gray, Leslie Ann Keene and husband, Kevin, of Schriever, Toni Marie Rogers and husband, Tommy, of Houma, Dirk Joseph Blasio and wife, Rebecca, of Mandeville, Douglas Joseph Blasio, of Thibodaux, Benjamin Michael Blasio, of Thibodaux, and Lucas Anthony Blasio and wife, Miriam, of Farmers Branch, Texas; sister, Laura Peterson, of Gray; grandchildren, Ashley, Angel, Rachael, Rebekah, Sophia, Amelia, Chelsea, Jonathan and Ivan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Percy Spiess and Estelle Rose Cochran Spiess, of New Orleans; sister, Linda Pipitone, of Harahan; and brother-in-law, Raymond Peterson, of Gray.
Luana was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Like our Father in heaven, great parents help us get started in life and cheer us on. Unlike our Father in heaven, great earthly parents have a time limit. Luana Blasio, my wife's Mom, who was also my sister-in-Jesus, went home last Saturday after 68 years of cheering Ann on and being her bff. Ann and I will miss her very much, like we miss my Dad, until we meet again.
