Mark Benoit Obituary
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 25, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday, May 26, from 9 a.m. until service time at Ordoyne Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Private burial to be held.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Henry Benoit; sons, Mark "T.J." Benoit Jr. (Stacy), Travis Benoit (April); daughter, Taylor Benoit; grandchildren, Jade, Cheyenne, Jackson, Kaylee, Kallie, Kinlee; mother, and Betty Lirette Benoit; siblings, Gregory Benoit, Linda Himel (Randy "Duke"), Carrie Bourgeois (Duane "Boudin"), Mona Loupe (Kenny), Tara Torres (Brian), Yvette Benoit (Roland), Amy Wright (Scott), and Jeremy "JJ" Benoit (Tania); brother-in-law, Mike Henry; sisters-in-law, Gayle Lambremont, Gwen LeBlanc(Tony), and Phyllis Petrolia; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews; and fur baby, Lily.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Roland Paul Benoit; grandparents, Horace and Lucille Boudreaux Lirette and Chester and Eunice Guillot Benoit; father-in-law, Ralph Henry; and mother-in-law, Wilma Gaudet Henry.
He loved his family and friends and especially adored and spoiled his grandchildren. He worked at Sam's as a meat cutter and enjoyed socializing with all the customers. He enjoyed going to Rene's Bar with Shot and Ted and drinking with the gang. He was very generous, always had a smile on his face, and made friends everywhere he went.
He was an avid LSU fan. In honor of Mark, we ask you to leave your suits and dresses in the closet and wear something LSU, to celebrate his life.
The family would like to thank the Family Doctor Clinic, and the doctors and staff of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center's Emergency room and ICU for their care.
Ordoyne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Well its a year now my brother. They say time is a healer, but I have my doubts. Can't say a day goes by without you being in my thoughts. My life is changed forever. We are very sad to hear of Mark's passing. Growing up with Mark and his siblings during our childhood days on Bayou Vista Dr gives us many good memories as well as during our THS days together with Bonnie. Mr. Mark wasnt just a coworker he was my friend. There was never a boring day at work when he was there. He made sure we were always laughing and having fun. I could talk to him about anything and he would always know what to tell me. Im going to miss him so much. I pray for comfort and peace over the family.
