Murphy Callais Obituary
Visitation will 5-9 p.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Emma M. Callais; daughter, Rayven Plaisance; son, Taylor Callais; grandparents, Robert and Lou Rebstock; parents, Murphy M. Callais Sr. and Kathy R. Callais; brother, Chad Callais and wife, Jamie, and their children, Owen, Luke, and Morgan; uncle, Russell "Putt" Callais; in-laws, Grace and Frank Marmolejo; and sisters-in-law, Martha and Reggie, their daughter, Alli, Patricia and husband, Mark Savoie, their children, Grace, M.J. and wife, Brittney, and their children, Jaydon and B.J.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Lorina Callais; and brother, Jeremy Callais.
Murphy was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council No. 9000. He was on the Pastoral Council, a member of the Holy Name Society and an Acolyte at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
He was the owner and operator of Murphy Callais Construction. He was an avid LSU fan who loved his family and friends.
Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano is in charge of arrangements.

.....having a real hard time coming to terms with his loss. He was a wonderful friend; one that helped me to know what a best bud throughout our times in gradeschool was like. Forever, he will be missed, and will always hold a very special place in my heart and memory. Love you buddy!
