Phyllis Winfree Obituary
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Friday at First Baptist Church of Golden Meadow. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Floyd Winfree; grandsons, Matthew Rathel Jr., and Jonathan, Jody, and Jeremy Thomas; granddaughters, Jasmine Rathel Aronald, Marrissa Rathel, and Mada Rathel; great-grandchildren, Madison and Destiny Aronald, and Nevaeh and Jonathan Thomas; one brother; one sister; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Constant "Tony" Toups and Beaulah A. Toups; sons, Terry Rathel and Matthew Rathel Sr.; and great-grandchild, Mattison Rathel.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Today, we are mourning the loss a a great friend who was like family to all. She was known as "momma Phyllis" to many who knew her. She will be sadly missed. She may be gone, but will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace, Momma Phyllis. You will always be in our hearts! Condolences to the family of Momma Phyllis. Gone but not forgotten as long as you keep her in your hearts.
