I never met Dr. Rabbani in real-time, but I shared many emails with him in the 1990s when I would be preparing summer school classes. Even though he had never met me, he altruistically gave of his time and deep knowledge of the Faith, and improved the informational quality of my classes immensely. I have also greatly benefited from reading his works and translations in his Witnesses to Babi and Baha'i History webpages. I hope my spiritual station is advanced enough to meet him in Abha when my time comes. With love of Ahang,

Dearest Dr. Rabbani family, I have known Ahang for many years, he was a great friend to me. We used to talk regularly about everything. He was a source of inspiration for me. A great scholar, and at the same time a humble one. Always said what he had in mind. He used to encourage me for different things. We joked a lot with each other. Any questions that I had I would go to him first. I am deeply sad for his passing. It is a great loss for the Baha'i international community.

Andy, your legacy will live on for a long time. I quote you regularly, think of you often. You "upped our game" beyond measure at Momentive, both statistically and personally. And who now to laugh at my stupid jokes? Your laugh is still with me in my thoughts and memories. A quote from my grand-daughter over which we often shared a laugh: "I can't like it." I miss you, friend.

Today is your final journey in this world. You are being placed in your resting place while your soul is traversing higher and higher in the next world. I can just imagine how hard it must be for your dear family and friends to say the final good bye. It has been raining for the past two days in Toronto area. It is as though the clouds are sharing the grief that all who care about you are feeling.
