I always looked forward to my uncle's visits to Indiana in the summer. The family would take a day trip to Turkey Run State Park and hike, play tennis, eat chicken and pineapple upside-down cake. He told wonderful stories and always had a kind word for everyone he met. He loved people, especially his coworkers at Har-Con. I especially enjoyed hearing his WWII stories. He will be greatly missed.

While living in Houston Al and I had become best of friends. He had lived a hard life in dealing what had been delt to him but always had a Irish saying to make you smile. As I knew him there wasn't a person that we met that didn't take a liking to him because of his sincere kindness and caring for all.(Including his love for his children, family and Neice Julie of which he would talk to me about for hours and hours on many different ocassions) Al will always be in my mind as I was one of the many fortunate people that have had the chance to really know and learn from him. GOD BLESS YOU AL
