Ollie--I learned from Tom Ness about Albert's passing. I brought Gillie home when he was 8 and sadly had to put him down 12/20/21. I am wondering if you have a picture of Albert and Gillie after Gillie's 3rd place in the 2012 National. If you do and are willing to send it to me, I will include it in Gillie's obituary. Lovely dog.

I'm having a very hard time coming to terms with the fact that my friend is no longer with us. The last time I saw him and spoke to him was Tuesday December 22nd. At the end of the day we wished each other a Merry Christmas, and I told him to stay healthy! And, he told me to do the same. Little did I know that was the very last time I would see him or talk to him. A.R. was one of a kind! He was a great person all around! I'm going to miss hearing him say, "Good morning, how are you?" And, then flashing that awesome sincere smile of his! Go rest high on that mountain, my friend. Your work on earth is done! We're going to miss you so very much!!

A very wonderful man and good friend. I got to know A.R. after Ginger and I went to work for him and Ollie about 10 years ago. We became friends and enjoyed many laughs and traded wisecracks. He had quite a sense of humor, but we knew right away if he was in a business frame of mind when we walked in.
I always played music at work and he would sometimes walk by my Bose and turn it up or say, “why don’t you turn it up so we can hear it”. He loved it when a favorite song of his came on and definitely wanted it turned up. He loved the song, “Almost Persuaded” and I wound up making that his ringtone on my phone. Every time I hear that song I think of him. I will have wonderful memories of him for a very long time. He’s not someone that could be easily forgotten. I loved him and Ollie both and so happy we met and have shared many years of friendship. He will be missed by many and I pray that God will bless and comfort Ollie along with the rest of his family. I pray God will heal her broken heart.

A. R. told me his initials stood for "Always Ready," then we agreed it could alsobe "Always Right. " From his signature "Hey!", to giving my husband grief. We always enjoyed cutting up with him & watching run circles around many half his age or more. A gracious man for sure. Our field trial family has lost a giant. He will be missed is a great understatement. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ginn family.
