Alton Kenneth Curry Sr.

ALTON KENNETH CURRY, SR. passed away on Thursday August 17, 2006 at the age of 84. He was a faithful member and served as a deacon at Cornerstone Baptist Church. His two passions were his grandchildren, serving as their personal chauffeur and servant. Prior to taking on his role as greatest Grand-Dad ever, he enjoyed his lifelong career with the Texas Air National Guard 147th. Fighter Interceptor Group retiring after 40 years of military service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Harvey Curry, Sr. and Jennie Edna Moore Curry, sisters, Ruby Hicks, Bess Baatz and Doris Curry, brother, Arthur Curry, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Curry, son, Kenneth Curry, daughter, Sharon Cox, grandsons, Casey Cox and Sean Cox, sisters, Annie Mae Walker, Bernice Fullen, Geraldine Jones, Julia Treadway, and Frances Lanier & husband Jim. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at Klein Funeral Chapel. Champion Forest, with Pastor Ron Phemons of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the V.A. Houston National Cemetery
