Alvin "Winston" Hartgrove

ALVIN "WINSTON" HARTGROVE Winston Hartgrove, 77, of Durango, TX, died February 18, 2002 at his residence. Services will be at 2:00pm, February 19, 2002 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Temple with Loren Quick officiating. Burial will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Troy, TX. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning prior to services. Winston was born July 1, 1924 to Eugene Hartgrove and Mary Hargrove Hartgrove, in Troy, TX and was married to June Donahue Hartgrove. He worked for Ray's Jewelry Store for 5 years and then moved to Houston in 1954, where he owned his own jewelry store and worked for Corrigan's for thirty years. Mr. Hartgrove retired in 1989 to the Temple/Troy area. He is survived by his wife: June Hartgrove of Houston, TX,;Three sons: Ronald Winston Hartgrove of Houston, TX, ;Donald Stephen Hartgrove of Houston, TX, Kenneth Wayne Hartgrove of Lott, TX, Six grandsons, Four granddaughters, One great grandson, Two sisters: Ruby Fry of San Antonio, TX, Bonnie Kuckenbaker of Laton, CA and One brother: Albert Hartgrove of Glen Burnie, MD.
