1958-2015
Ms. Anita Kissentaner was born February 18, 1958, in Alton, Illinois to parents Angel and Burrell Wilkins, Sr. (both preceded her in death). She married Donnie Ray Kissentaner on August 2, 1984, who preceded her in death in 2010.
She attended Alton Senior High and graduated in 1977. In 1978, she moved with her baby girl, Anitra Clark, to Houston, Texas where she soon found a fresh start working at Memorial Hospital. After a few years, she began working for the State of Texas (Comptroller's Office from 1981 – 1989; followed by The Attorney General's Office from 1989 until she retired in 2011), making tons of friends and building great relationships at the Missouri City Office and the Dallas office.
Anita and her late husband, Donnie, moved to Forney, Texas in 2009, where they both became members of Little Flock Baptist Church. After 4 years, she later returned to Houston moving to the Richmond/Rosenberg area and becoming a member of Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church.
Anita leaves mourning one daughter, Anitra Clark, one grandson, Antonio Clark; she was also known as Momma Nita to her four (4) stepchildren, Donya Kissentaner, Phayedria Kissentaner (preceded her in death), Chaun Paul Williams, and Tawaki Taylor. Siblings Vanessa Winters (Wilson), Aleatha Riddlespriger (Marco), Burletta Durham, Burrell Wilkins (Clevie), David Wilkins (Nanette); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
