I can not even begin to express how much April has effected my life. She was the greatest person that I have ever met. She always had this joy like no other even when she was frustrated about stuff with work. She always spoke so highly of you, her family, especially Jer-Bear and Brent. She made me want to meet you all. Even though the circumstances were not as I had planned, I am very happy that I got to. You all continue to be in my prayers. Even more so on this day. I love you all!

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Nettles, Jerry, and Brent,

You know how much I loved April...she changed my life so much. I haven't been able to go one day without thinking of her and how I can live to be better in order to make the difference that she did. I know the hurt will never completely go away, but find joy in the fact that we will see her again! April will always be missed, and never forgotten. I love you guys so much, thank you for opening your hearts to me. Please keep in touch, I know I'll be seeing you again! I love you.

Dear Nettles family,

I am a student at CBC and a fellow HeartSong member with April. I would just like you to know that her sweet spirit and incredible talents were and are an inspirtaion to us all. We will all miss her greatly. I would like to thank you and the Lord for allowing us the chance to get to know her. I know that we can say with great confidence that we will see her again and that she is now worshipping in the very presence of God.

You will continue to be in our prayers.

Dear Nettles Family,

I can never find words to express how much I appreciate your family. April was such an inspriation to me on the worship team. I had actually planned to not lead a team this year. I honestly feel that God's plan was to share April with our team for a short time before He came to get her. She taught us so much. A special thank you for allowing me to be invovled in her service in Houston. You have no idea how much that meant to me. My heart prays for Christ to hold you in his arms when you need him and show you strength when you need it the most.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Nettles, Jerry and Brent,

I am a student at CBC and sat beside April in our Music theory III class. Although I did not know her as well as I would have liked to, I remember one of the last times I talked to her. She was talking about her favorite thing to do: lead others into worship. I immediately felt convicted about not having the same passion about my calling as she did about hers. I think it's incredible that she is now in the presence of the Lord where she can lift up her beautiful voice and worship Him face to face. What joy she must feel!

Please know that many of us weep with you over your loss. I pray that the God of all peace and comfort would be very real to you during this time.

Nettles Family,

I express my deepest sympathy for you and your family through this difficult time in your lives. I did not know April very well, but what I did know will stay with me for the rest of my life. You see I was in lab choir with her and we were both sopranos, and she sat directly behind me, and so every tuesday and thursday I was able to hear her beautiful voice in my ears when she sang. She had such a gorgeous voice, and I could just hear her angelic tone as she sang for the Lord. She had such a sweet spirit, and she will be missed by all. She is now singing with the angels in the Lord's presence now... she just beat us there. May God bless you during this holiday season.

In Christ,

Mr. and Mrs. Nettles,

I can't even begin to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Your daughter was an inspiration to us all. We weren't very close, but every time I talked to her, I could see the love of Jesus come out. There was always a peace and joy that I felt whenever I was around her and I will never ever forget that.

I remeber the first time I saw April. It must of been about five years ago when she sang at Lindale. I remeber being in awe. I just couldn't believe that so much passion could come out of something so delicate and small. As time went on and I heard her several more times I was still always amazed. I now realize that she was just practing for the big chorus. The heavenly choir. I believe that when God puts us here he has a purpose. Some fulfill it some do not. April fulfilled hers. Sue and Jerry you as parents, fulfilled God's plan for her in your lives. He chose you to be her parents because he knew you would nuture the gift he had placed within her. You would make sure it was used for him so his purpose would be fulfilled. By raising her in the way you did you not only fulfilled his purpose but you blessed so many hundreds of others.

When I met April, she was pacing the halls of Central Bible College nervous and scared. Sister Bonnie Jenkins (our music divisional director) approached me saying, "This is April--she wants to try out for Heartsong, but has no one to play piano for her audition. Could you help?"

April, her friend Mike, and I then went into Sister Jenkins' office where I heard April sing "Why" by Nicole Nordeman. When we finished, I looked at April and sarcastically scolded her saying, "Okay, friend, do you realize how angry I would be with you if you didn't try out?!?"

Needless to say, April became a cherished member of Heartsong (one of CBC's traveling music groups).

My blessings and prayers go out to the family. May God hold you close in this time.

Dear Jerry, Sue, Jerry Jr. and Brent,

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your daughter, sister, and friend to all. It is comforting to know where April is now, as this secures our ability to sing and rejoice with her once again when we, too, meet Jesus.

I spoke with April when she would come into the Music Office or as she was just passing through. What a beautiful smile! I referred to her as "Little Bit", but she was not little in her love of God and man.

As a mother, myself, of three daughters, (one biologically, two foster) and three sons (two biologically, one adopted), I can only begin to fathom the great loss you each feel. My heart goes out to you. Though April is not with us in body, her sweet, gentle spirit will remain in our memories. She truly leaves a wonderful and Godly legacy behind!

Dear Nettles Family,

My name is Erica and I attended CBC with April. I didn't know her that well but I knew that she was an awesome woman of God. I hung out with her one time and with Lindsey her CBC roommate and well I was in a down type of mood and if you just say HI to her you forget about what you were all upset about and you just have complete joy in your life. When April sang in chapel I cried everytime she sang because she had such a beautiful voice that it just touched my heart. But you know, I know she is up in heaven singing right now and rejoicing. I just want you to know that I'm praying for the family. God Bless!!!

Dear Nettles family:

There is so much to say about someone like April in just a few sentences. One thing I will never forget, was the anointing on April the day before the accident. She sang the song "Everything" for chapel, and we talked about how strong God had moved during that song that day. What a testimony to proclaim to the campus. She truely showed us through her life that God was her everything. Even though I miss her terribly and it hurts, I am holding onto the promise that God has given us, and I can't wait to see her again soon!

Dear Nettles Family,

We miss April dearly as a close member of our Music Theory III class. The students in that class are very bonded as they spend so much time together in the core music classes. April joined us at CBC in her sophomore year and fit in so easily with the group, and we were impacted by her good-nature, her lovely smile, and her love for the Lord. She was a great student. I appreciated her cooperative spirit in the classroom and her zest in music ministry. Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with your family.

Dear Jerry, Sue, Jerry Jr. and Brent,

The CBC music division is deeply saddened by our loss of April. She was such a blessing musically and spiritually to HeartSong, the worship team, and our music students. Our lives will never be the same as she set a wonderful example for all of us. She taught us how to worship, to love others, and to live a joyful life. I often refer to her as a 'doll' as she was so beautiful inside and out. We loved her dearly and will always treasure the time that we had with her.

I am sorry for the loss of April. I didn't know her very well, but from the couple times I talked with her I could see what a sweet girl she was. You raised a daughter that had a real sweet spirit, love for people, and heart that loved her Savior with all she had. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing April personally, but she was a part of the CBC campus family. I will always remember when she sang the song "Why" in chapel, this is one of my favorite songs, and she had the perfect voice for it. When she would help lead worship for chapel it was obvious that this was her passion, to love, serve, and worship God. My prayers are with you.
