Several years ago, after finishing a backpacking adventure at the Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch, we stopped in for pizza at the Juan Carrasco Mercantile in Balmorhea where we had a chance and utterly delightful encounter with Mrs. Bentsen. She was so gracious and complimentary of the boys. We will never forget Mrs. Bentsen or that moment and are saddened to read of her passing. May God bless.

Was saddened to learn of the death of a beautiful lady who played tennis with her husband Lloyd on the court next to us at ROCC on Tuesdays back in the 1960's. When our ball went behind their court, she would smile and graciously toss it back to us. The Senator would kick it back with his foot. My partners included uncle Ray Hankamer, Tom Gillis, Frank Head and Bob Hervey. Remember the good times.

I'm sure both my mother, Jane Weinert Blumberg, and her mother, Hilda Weinert, both knew Mrs. Bentsen well. I'm sorry I never did. Quite a moving obituary.

Life without B.A. I cant imagine it. For all of my days I have been blessed with her wit and wisdom, beauty and brains, compassion and commitment to all that mattered to me.
B.A. and Lloyd Bentsen were like Lady Bird and Lyndon a hyphenated couple that reminded all in their wake that together they were far better than apart.
And oh how they were loved by generations of Johnsons. B.A. had the rare ability to look you in the eye and make you feel you were the most important person in her world. I for one fell for her charm but so did countless others.
Political and philanthropic causes felt if they B.A. they had the best. They were right. She was a wise mentor for my sister, me and countless others.
Our loss will surely be heavens gain. I have no doubt Mother and Daddy were right behind Lloyd welcoming B.A at Heavens gate. There Daddy probably exclaimed B.A. what took you so long- we have missed you like a front tooth?
So will we miss you B.A. like that front tooth. You were class and character that we all depended upon to lead us. But we will always know we were far better people because we knew you.
We thank that wonderful family of yours for sharing her.

B A blessed me with great stories about my Great Uncle and Aunt , Mr. & Mrs. Robert (Bob) KERR who were her close friends in Washington all those years. What a wonderful experience it was to hear about their friendship and love of each other. I had the honor to sit at their table in Washington at a dinner to honor their service. Great memories of this wonderful lady.
