Barbara Cornelison Obituary
Barbara was married to her husband, B.W. Cornelison for 46 years. During this time she was employed with the federal and state governments, worked for a private industry, and finally retiring in 1993 from the Georgia Department of Labor. Ms. Cornelison was a resident of Gwinnett Christian Terrace where she was surrounded by many loving friends. Active in local churches in areas she resided, she was a member of Colonial Woods Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA.
Survivors are Michael (Trisha) Cornelison-son Newnan, GA, Amy and (Eric) Tyler-granddaughter, Sharpsburg, GA, 4 great grandchildren that absolutely lit up her life; Austin, Haley, Preston, and Lexi Grace. Helen Braun- sister, Lilburn, GA, Faye Marshall (Pat)- sister, Athens, GA. Many cousins, neices, and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, brothers; James, Allen, Tommy, and Cecil. Sisters; Alice and Ruby, and her beloved grandson, Justin Cornelison.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Don Mulkey officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m., Friday prior to the funeral.
Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Tai Chi class at Gwinnett Christian Terrace misses Barbara every week......especially me, her instructor. She added so much joy to our group!

We were saddened to hear about Barbara. For many years, she met with our group each Monday morning to practice Tai Chi. She loved to be with us and was a dedicated student. We will miss her terribly.
