Hi Annette, I'm sorry to hear about Barnett. I considered you both good friends in high school and often thought of you and wished we could have kept in touch. My condolences.

Barnett could go the distance - four times around the tract, sometimes five. I could only go half that. He was a big man, an interesting man. His injury was truly regretable; however, Barnett remained strong and never forgot his friends. My sympathy goes to his family. God's peace.

Barny and Family,
I remember not only the wonderful high school years but some of the years after. We talked and danced at all reunions except the 10th, which I did not attend. I remember you with great fondness, respect for your talents and admiration for all that you accomplished before and after the accident. I am most sorrowful to hear of your passing. You enriched all of the lives of people who knew you well! Rest in peace.

I have thougth of Barnett often this past 25 years and have hoped and prayed that he knew our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. That is the only way I could imagine he could cope with the results of his tragedy. I trust he is in a better place and his family finds the Lord's peace with his passing.

Barnett was one I always appreciated and never forgot. I sure wish I had seen him more often through the years to tell him. We were in the same home room at Lamar. We always walked different paths, but he was a special friend and a great person to have riding shotgun.
