I miss you so much....
I think of you often, wishing I could pick up the phone to call you. I saddens me when I drive near your old street knowing that you are not there. But I do know that you are finally at peace and in the company of our Lord. There is no better place than that, although we humans prefer your presence here with us. You gave us so much laughter and fun to last an eternity, and for those precious memories, I am forever grateful! If our Lord allows you access to the affairs of this world in your perfected state there in heaven, please know that I miss you so very much today as I did the day I learned of your ascent. Even though we were not together in later years, your frequent calls were sustaining.
You would be so pleased to learn of how life has evolved for me which now has an absolute place for you in it if your circumstances would allow at this point.

On Beth's first anniversary of her passing away, I just want to say how much I miss her! She was such a special friend. There was for many years such a bond between us and we supported each other in so many ways.

I am sure you read the beautiful and touching letter from your parents. I cannot imagine nor do I want to, the loss, the depth of sadness when a parent loses a child....thoughts and prayers, and to your sisters as well.
I thought these months would diminish these feelings.....but they have not.

From meeting in an acting class in Nashville to running into each other at an audition in NYC to phone conversations over the years from one coast to another, Beth proved to be simply the sweetest person it was ever my pleasure to know. If we truly believe what we profess to believe then Beth now knows The Mystery and is truly "home". I'm sad for those of us who feel the void, but how can we truly feel anything other than joy for her now? My thoughts are with you -- her family and her friends -- and it is my hope that with time we will be able to focus on her laugh, her smile, and her inherent goodness to see us through.

Today has been an especially sad day as we try to seek solace daily from the grief we battle from Beth's loss...I have no other way to express our deepest gratitude and love to each of you who have sent such beautiful, caring, compassionate messages that I read every day...I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping so much in our healing.. The April 2 and 14 entry also so touched my heart along June 6 and July 1..Some I feel I know who wrote it by the words..I so wish each of you had signed your name so we could thank you personally. Just know how much you have blessed us by being kind......
We have been very blessed with wonderful friends to see us through this dark time, but mostly our faith in Christ. I was just given a book to help in healing, although we have been told our grief will never leave, only lessen in intensity...THE WAY BACK FROM LOSS, BY WAYNE HASTINGS....
May our LORD bless each of you for your kindness to us to have these words in book form forever.

Kimberly I have not been able to reach out to you yet but plan to for I know that your heart is still heavy and hurting at least as much as mine which is almost much more than I can bare. The sense of loss and heartbreak is as palpable today as it was the day I was informed.
Beth and I shared a love affair that evolved into one of just the heart for decades to come when our lives took different paths as ambitious individuals in our twenties. We both knew it would be a life long relationship almost immediately upon meeting in New York during her modeling years for we were as much close friends as we were anything else.
At first it was Beth's mesmerizing beauty that captured my attention but it was the beautiful small town southern girl and extraordinarily beautiful heart that lived inside which never lost my love and attention. God how I miss her and I am so very glad that one of the things we shared was our faith which comforts me to know that I will see her again and once again experience that feeling of I am home when I was in her presence.
We were secretly there for each other in some of our darkest days over the years. It had to be that way for as time went on there were others to consider. I want you to know that with out a doubt her greatest joy was you and her family which she often spoke of. Oh how she loved each and everyone of you.
I recently spent time with Beth in West Palm Beach never knowing it would be the last time we spent together. The only regret that I have of that time was that it was our last time together this side of eternity for we both were big believers in never leaving anything undiscussed or unsaid and my sincerest hope is that you and the family can say the same thing.
You should know that Beth mailed me a letter through regular mail which I did not get until after I was informed she was gone. Since that was not like her nor is it the norm to send letters through the postal service these days, I can not yet bring myself to open it. If and when I am able to ever open it I will reach out to you and share what is shareable.

There was a time, a very special time in my life, when Beth was my love, my muse, my obsession, the puzzle I could never crack, the wisp of smoke I could never quite grasp, the damsel in distress that I could never quite rescue, try as I may, on a daily, monthly, yearly basis.
She was a woman of transcendant beauty, charm, wit, a magical, yet tragically tortured soul, who could elevate your spirits with a kind word, or dash them with the mere raising of a disapproving eyebrow---all in the span of a minute. Such were the maelstroms of emotions within her---joy, sadness, all in a single breath. And she was spellbinding----- sensational, in every sense of the word.
I will forever remember her as a once in a lifetime force of nature who touched and changed me deeply, perplexed me endlessly, and who roused my passions beyond measure, to write music, poetry and literature, all with the central goal of professing my love for her.
I was blessed to share what precious moments in the sun that we had. I shall miss her beyond words and my deepest condolences go out to her family and all others who loved her as I did.
