Betty Pitre Obituary

Betty Frances Pitre
01/26/1932 - 06/19/2025
Betty Frances Pitre was born on January 26, 1932 in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was the youngest of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaure Lillian Doucet and Charles Lawrence Pitre and her siblings, Harold Pitre, Charles Pitre Jr., Bonita Rogers, and James Pitre.
She is survived by eleven nieces and nephews: Rev. Eric Pitre, Elaine Schild and husband August, Gregory Pitre, Brent Pitre and wife Debbie, Elisa Williams, Jayne Pesl and husband Mark, Cecelia Pitre, Mark Pitre and wife Donna in the Houston area,: Benjamin Pitre and wife Pam of El Dorado, Arkansas, James Pitre of El Dorado, Arkansas,: Donnie Pitre of Fayetteville, Arkansas: Cousin, Lisa Berkenbosch and husband Lynn of Houston, Texas, and many grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Betty worked as an executive secretary for an oil and gas company until she retired. Later she worked as a caregiver until the age of 85. She moved to Friendswood, Texas in 1991 and has been a member of Mary Queen Parish ever since. Her passion was being a prayer warrior and she prayed daily for everyone who was in need. She held weekly prayer meetings in her home with some of her close friends. Betty was fortunate to have many friends in her church and the community.
One example of her generosity was cooking and baking for others. Many people showed her acts of kindness by taking her to church, picking up groceries, driving her places, cooking with her, bringing her communion or just sitting with her for a visit or fellowship. We were all blessed to have her in our lives for so many years. As she is received by our Father in Heaven she will be missed.
" Eye has not seen, ear has not heard..what God has prepared for those who love him".
1 Corinthians 2:9
