I had the pleasure of growing up with Billy Ray. He was my uncle but we were close in age. He was such a life force. He was so generous with his attention to a little tag along niece. We climbed trees together, he allowed me to play football and baseball with him and the boys, and in my young teenage years he taught me how to dance. He was the greatest dancer ever! Never a dull moment with him. Needless to say, he was my hero.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and a booming laugh.
He loved people and that love was returned.
We have lost a beautiful man, but heaven gained a bright light.
Wishing comfort and love to the loved ones.

Dear Fidelis and Sherbert family,
It saddened me to hear about Bill´s passing. I will always cherish the memories of our visits to Aunt Lela´s where we would all gather and you guys visiting in Alabama. Always so much laughter and great stories. Bill always reminded me of Aunt Lela with his story telling.
Love to you all and our prayers for peace and comfort in the days and weeks ahead.
Love,
David and Lynn McBurnett Sanders

Dear Sherbet Family:
Please accept my most sincere condolences for the loss of "Billy Ray". I have very fond memories of the time I knew him. I often think of our interactions and conversations (when I was in high school) and giggle a little. He was ALWAYS a lawyer cross examining everyone. Mr. Sherbet was an extraordinary human being, and he will be remembered fondly. With love, Amber Travis-Ballinas
