Billie Doris Foster, 85, passed away in her home in Conroe, Texas on September 2, 2012, surrounded by friends and family. She was born August 5, 1927 in Houston, Texas. She is survived by her son, Darrell Foster; his wife, Julie, and step-son, Herling; sisters, Bernice Stephens, Edith Boyle and Ruth MacGorman; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Billie grew up in the Houston Heights, graduating from Reagan High followed by Baylor University, where she graduated in 1948, and in 1966 earned her M. Ed. at University of Houston. Billie was an elementary school teacher and counselor for HISD until she retired in 1982, having taught at Bowie, Bastian and Frost Elementary schools. She and Carlton loved the Conroe area and moved there in 1989. Always active in her church, family, community, and Baylor alumni organizations, Billie leaves behind many friends and family members who love her and will miss her dearly.

Dear Darryl: I've been out of town and out of touch. Such a sturdy, Godly woman your Mother was. When I saw your message on the phone tonight when I returned from my daughter's home in Ohio, I was shocked to hear of our sweet Billie! I of course would have been at the services, but I just got home today (9/11). I failed to get the small group of "Diaper Routers" together last year. I had promised I'd keep us meeting at least every year. But I failed to do that. Thus I missed out on Billie's loving kindnesses! She was "one of a kind." My husband Nat and I were treated so special by the former Single Baptist group of people in 1964 especially. They treated me, the Methodist, with much kindnesses - and Billie was one of the best!
Marjorie.

Dear Darrell, Julie and family, Billie was a wonderful friend and mentor. God sent a couple of Christian women to love me and encourage me in the Lord. Billy was one of those women. We shared many a good time in the Lord as we led an outside Bible study, at a low income apartment complex and worked in missions. Oh how Billy love the kids. She also cared for my grandson in the church nursery. Always the encourager.
I know Billy is not gone only waiting for us with the Lord. I pray for your peace as you hold your precious memories of your mother.
Love in Christ Jesus

We remeber Billie and Carlton from West Conroe Baptist Church. Billie took care of our oldest son, Rodger, in the nursery. She also gave me a baby shower for our youngest son William, who is now 17 years old. She was a very kind and loving person.

I remember Mrs. Billie & Mr. Carlton very well as a young little girl from church (WCBC). She was the SWEETEST. Heaven just got a little sweeter. My deepest sympathies. She will be greatly missed!!!

Billie was a real inspiration to me. We often visited friends at a nursing home about the same time--and enjoyed greeting each other at various church events. She had a wonderful sense of humor and showed her love for The Lord
by finding many ways to be of help to others!

Billie was a wonderful Christian neighbor - she was a very thoughtful person who was always doing nice things for others - we are going to miss her in this neighborhood - she was loved by all.
