Resolution for Sister Bobbie L. Jones

December 11, 2010

Resolved, that we, the Pastor, First Lady and Members of The Point Christian Outreach Ministries bow in humble submission to the will of God, that we enter sympathetically into the sorrows of the bereaved, bid them hope, commend them to the Divine Comforter who is able to sustain, encourage and strengthen.

God has called from our midst into His presence Sister Bobbie Jones; a true servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. Only He could have enabled Sister Jones to serve as she did, counting it all joy. She worked in love, wisdom, humility, with courage, patience and self-denial.

Whereas, we should all try to emulate Sister Jones’s service and life, in every respect; she invested and dedicated her life to God, looking forward for this day. In the words of Apostle Paul “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain…” Heavens gain is earth’s loss and Sister Jones is now forever with the Lord… She will be greatly missed down here.

Therefore be it further resolved, while reflecting on her beautiful life as a gift, God provided for a time. Through her acts of kindness and loving spirit we felt the love of God. For which we express our gratitude.

Our prayer is, that the peace of God which is able to keep your hearts and mind, soothe this family with His love, grace and eternal hope will bring you comfort, knowing Sister Jones is now safe at home.

Resolved, that a copy of this resolution will be kept in the church records, and a copy be given to the family of Sister Bobbie Jones.

Prayerfully submitted,

The Point Christian Outreach Ministries, Houston

My spiritual mentor, how could I ever forget you! You showed me how to how to dress (smile), and how to conduct myself as a young Christian lady. Your teachings in Jr. Mission, Sunday School, and Mission has help along with the sound doctrine that the Late Great Pastor Ernie Jones taught us, has produced another strong soldier for Christ and for that I have to say thank you. To Kim, Quadrell and Cory Sr & Jr., you all will forever be in my prayers. God knew what was best for her. She is now in the Land of No More.....no more sorrow, no more pain, no more heart aches, and no more bills. Take strength in knowing that she is shouting all over Glory right now....Shout on Baby Girl shout on!
