Bruce C. Rodriguez
1954-2019
Bruce Rodriguez, 65, went to join the Lord on 12/09/19. He was born to Lillian and Donald Rodriguez on February 17, 1954 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Bruce attended Loyola University in New Orleans and majored in Accounting. He worked for Texaco Oil Company, Gordon Jewelry, and ASIS as a Houston account manager. He went to Copperfield Church where he recently became a member. In addition to organizing monthly socials, he participated in various Senior bus trips and game days.
He was passionate about spending his vacations at the family camp in Jennings, Louisiana, and about working on his model railroad in his home. During his retirement years, he looked forward to going on cruises with his wife, Linda, to the Caribbean, Canada, and Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Rodriguez, Jr; his father, Donald Rodriguez, and his mother, Lillian Rodriguez.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Linda Howard and her son Jackson; his sister, Debbie Williams (Alan); his nephews Brian and Matthew (Alanna); and nieces Kristen (Eric) and Lindsey (Chip). Also, there are various other extended family members.
A memorial service will be at Copperfield Church located at 8350 Highway 6 Houston, Texas 77095 to celebrate his life on January 25, 2019 at 11 am. Flowers and/or donations may be sent to the church.
There will be a private service held at the family camp in Jennings. Time and date to be announced.

I am really sorry for your loss Ms Linda. You are the most amazing people I've ever met. I loved working with you. I can't forget the little cross Mr. Bruce gave me on my first visit. He was a strong person spiritually and that makes me happy. Let his soul rest in heaven.

My condolence to Linda and family members. Bruce was a blessed and friendly person. I still remember the first time I met him how he looked at me and said "thank you for praying for me". He has gone on before us to be with the Lord and will be greatly missed. But we will be together with him again when Jesus returns for us. "Oh happy day"!

I will always remember my little visits and chats with Bruce. I was encouraged by his faith and tender heart, as he was always asking and caring for my family and he spoke tenderly about Linda and his concerns for leaving her. He was brave to the end and saw himself as one of God's warriors. I'm sure he is sitting at the feet of Jesus, having lively chats with Him.

I was honored on my birthday this year to spend the day with my friend Bruce. We shared a great day of conversation in a similar belief of faith. God knows our path crossed for a reason. Peace my dear friend Linda you are a blessing and he will always be a part of you. God's work is still at hand on earth and in heaven.

We were fortunate to visit Bruce and Linda in October. Such a good visit. Bruce was cheery and entertaining although he was not feeling well. I was glad to see his hospitality enduring like that.
He said he was going to become a soldier of the lord and I expect that is just what he is doing.
We send our love to Linda and Bruce's family.
I am grateful to Linda's church for their support and her sweet neighbors. A real blessing.

Bruce will be missed by everyone who knew him. Even on his bad days, he was interested in how we were doing. He loved Jesus and was ready to tell all who would listen. He is resting with our Lord and Savior now, pain free and fully restored. Praise God! I thank God for his life and the impact he had on those around him.
