David and Annette, a New Year has approached. As I read your entries my heart breaks for you but yet my faith has become stronger because of it. I think of you both often. Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you face the new year. How blessed was Caleb to have such faithful parents to show him the path to God. I know it is so comforting to you to know how much joy he is experiencing in heaven.

Merry Christmas Annette, David, Natashia and Christopher! It was great to spend Christmas with you Annette and David. We sure did miss Caleb, but we know he was celebrating from above. It brings us great joy to remember all the funny things he used to do and the wonderful memories. We miss him calling Luigi, Linguini (like David does), or just Wuigi. The dogs miss the extra feedings too! Today was a wonderful day and I'm sure Caleb was smiling from above. The girls miss him so much, but really love to talk about all the silly things he used to do. It truely warms our hearts! We love the lamps you gave the girls and will treasure those beautiful pictures of Caleb. Merry Christmas!! As always, you are in our prayers. Love you all!

""A GOLDEN HEART STOPPED BEATING""

God saw him get so tired,
When a cure was not to be,
So he closed his arms around him
And whispered "come to me"

A golden heart stopped beating;
His gentle hands at rest.
God broke my heart to prove to me
He only takes His best.

In tears I saw him sinking,
I watched him fade away.
It felt my heart was broken:
He fought so hard to stay.

But when I saw him sleeping.
So peacefully free from pain,
I could not wish him back
To suffer that all again.

So keep your arms around him Lord
And give him special care.
Make up for all he suffered
And all that seemed unfair.

So many times I needed him,
So many times I cried.
If love alone could save him,
He never would have died.

Dear Annette and David, Natasha and Christopher,
Caleb was such an amazing little boy who has touched my heart deeply. I lost my father in January and he loved to tell my children bedtime stories. I can just imagine my dad with his arm around Caleb telling him one of his great stories. I have been so Blessed to have known Caleb and the both of you! You all are truely amazing and your story is the most beautiful Love Story I've ever known. I miss seeing Caleb's sweet face. I will remember him all the days of my life! My love to you all! Hi, David and Annette. We love and miss you; and you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. We had to write and say something about Caleb and the fisherman bracelet. The bracelet was more than a sign that Caleb was transitioning from the earthly to the spiritual realm. It was also a sign of his spiritual mission/purpose, particularly in the last year of his life. Caleb did more to build God's kingdom in four short years than most other people ever manage to accomplish. He was (and is) a shining star. I know you miss him terribly; we do, too. But we are all privileged to witness the continuation of his mission. Thank you for sharing with us on the Web site.

Love, Heidi, Steve, Steph, and Gwen

David and Annette, Our family constantly thinks and prays for your whole family. I know I don't have to tell you that life is so fast and it seems that there is never enough time to do the things we want to do. I have thought at least a million times of stopping by but then again I don't want to intrude. I call when I can because I love you guys. I hope we can get together soon. Caleb IS such a sweet angel and James loved him even though he didn't get to see Caleb too much. And James stll asks about dear Caleb. You guys are so strong in your faith and show so much love with everyone, it is no wonder Caleb was so strong and sweet. You all are an inspiration to all of us. Thanks for giving us the gift of Caleb and showing us how strength in your faith can truely be the only salvation. God bless you! Love Colleen

To the Ingram family . . . I live in San Antonio and go to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. I am honored to faciliate the email prayer chain at my parish and our members have been praying for Caleb and for all of you for a very long time. I found your site a while back and have taken a special interest in it as a friend is going through the same thing with her three year old son. Your faith is a source of inspiration to me and I want you to know that my prayers and the prayers of Holy Trintity Catholic Church are with you!

David and Annette, I continue to think of you both as you go through this journey. As I read entries from your updates my heart is touched by the fact that there are signs showing you that Caleb is still with you through these difficult days. I rejoice myself in the faith I see shining through in each word you write. Although you are a great distance a way you remain in my thoughts and prayers. Your Friend,

I work with Caleb's Uncle Bob in Jacksonville, and through him, have been blessed to take part in your spiritual journey through Caleb's life. What a truly strengthening experience it was. While I cannot imagine the loss of a child, both of my parents are in heaven now, but they are with me constantly. I know for a fact that we can communicate through our minds with those who have gone before us. God gives us strength, even when we don't think we can endure. May God bless you.

I am a friend of one of Caleb's pre-school teachers and I was honored to meet Caleb at his pre-school when I brought my art car to his school, once at the hospital and at the Relay for Life event. I have been so moved by the blog of his journey and passing. I continue to check it often. Although I did not know Caleb well, he has touched my life in ways that continue to amaze me.

Dear Ingram's, I think of you all often. I wanted to share this with you: I took Loren to a speech therapist a couple of weeks ago at UTMB-Galveston for an evaluation....we've been having problems understanding her speech. We had a fabulous therapist that evaluated Loren's speech & communication skills. Long story short, there are no development issues. Thank goodness. As we were leaving her office, I looked up on her bulletin board and saw a smiley face with Caleb's name on it. There were no other names on the board. I looked up and smiled.

Dear Ingram Family,
You do not know me, but I am a friend of your sister Maria. I have had the pleasure of working with her for many years now. She has shared your story of Caleb with me through the months and I've also been reading the website. I have prayed for him all these months as I would listen to Maria update me. I want to tell you what incredibly strong people you are and what an amazing (and incredibly tenacious) little boy you were blessed with to have in your life. I have a son the same age and I can't even begin to imagine what you've had to endure. Unfortunately, since Maria retired, she and I haven't spoken, so I just today found out that Caleb passed and is now with the Lord. I shed tears for your sorrow and pain, but I am relieved for you that Caleb is no longer having to deal with this dreadful disease. I'm sure he has his angel's wings already and is making many wonderful friends in heaven! He is an absolute inspiration to all of us and that no matter what, he was able to greet each and every day of his life with a smile. God bless you and may you relive the joy of having him every single day of your lives!

I have followed Caleb's journey over the past ten months through Marissa and Yvonne and reading your blogs as well. What an inspiration it has been to hear you praise God's name in the midst of your trials. I can't even begin to imagine how He must be smiling as he looks down at you, His faithful servants. Your family is in my prayers. I pray you will continue to find strength and comfort through our Lord. (Samantha Krause, Marissa's 4th grade teacher)

Caleb,
I will always remember playing peek a boo with you, and seeing how you made everyone smile around you every day. You wholeheartedly served God just as Caleb did in Joshua 14:14. God gave you strength and courage as he did Joshua in Deuteronomy 31:23. You made a difference in so many lives that we could not possibly count them all, I know God is rejoicing with you and you are an angel watching down on us now. We miss you and we love you. Thanks for everything you gave to the world, it is a better place because of you. Your parents are the best, I know you know that. Your siblings too. We have all grown in faith by reading your website and praying for you. We will always remember you. God reigns.

Your wonderful words in the transcription of Caleb's sweet and short life are inspiring. Your strength and faith in our Lord is awesome. I wish I could have known Caleb but I feel as though I do through your stories of him. Thank you for sharing his life and your precious memories of him - it must be hard. I could not imagine my life without the two beautiful boys that I have been blessed with.
My prayers, thoughts and love are with you and your family today and always in your time of sadness.

I did not know Caleb or his family. I learned of this great little person through a friend of mine. I prayed for him and his family through out his battle and I still pray for him now. I also pray that I can have the strength the faith and the courage that his entire family has had through out all of this. I have a son myself who just turned 4 in March, and I have learned through you that we cannot waste time with our little ones because we just do not know. Thank You for showing me what faith really is and also being a strong parent and family. Bless everyone of you and Bless everyone that has been there for you along the way.

Caleb's Family,

As a mother who has lost two children, I know words can not ease the pain. Know that you do not walk alone and you have been a great inspiration to me. I have been praying and reading your updates for months. I was on a Mission Trip this past weekend and when I returned I checked Caleb's web site and was heart broken to see he had passed. I rejoice in knowing he is in Heaven with my twin daughters, playing and enjoying eternal life. May your faith sustain you and yours.
