Carl Dalio Obituary

CARL L. DALIO, JR., 86 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2003. He was born on July 26, 1917 in Houston, Texas to Virginia and Carl L. Dalio, Sr., he served his country in World War Two and accomplished his service in Liech, Austria. He was the European Theater of War Light Heavy Weight Champion and Golden Glove Champion as well as a renowned athlete. After the war, he went to work for a pipeline company. He then started MYOCO Pipeline Equipment Company in 1962. His parents and siblings, Tony Dalio, Wesley Dalio and Frances DeLaro preceded Carl in death. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Bettye Dalio, brother Joe Dalio, daughter Debra Stephens and husband Ricky Stephens, daughter Derwanna Grover, son Carl L. Dalio the third and his wife Shawn Dalio, 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Carl's family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Ezell. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to the American Heart Association, Friends are invited to visitation with the family from 6 until 8 o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, July 29, 2003, with a rosary at 7 o'clock in the chapel at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, July 30, 2003 in the chapel at Geo. H. Lewis & Sons with Father Charles J. Samperi officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
